Elmira: Age 88, died in the comfort of his home on Friday, January 21, 2011 with his loving wife by his side. Daniel was born May 19, 1922, the son of Dominic and Saveria (Julian) Lombardi. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Hazel Meeker Lombardi; along with several in-laws. Daniel was a US Army veteran serving his country during WWII. He was retired from Trayer Products.

Daniel was a proud member of the "Knot Hole He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Parish, attending Ss. Peter Paul Church. Private funeral services will be held. Arrangements by McInerny Funeral Home. Cadwell, Ernest V.

"Ernie" Dundee: Ernest V. "Ernie" Cadwell, age 75, of Dundee, NY died unexpectedly Sunday January 23, 2011 in the comfort of his home. The current Service Manager of Tom Pratt Auto, in Dundee. Husband of the former Sylvia J. Switzer, from Reading Center, survives at home.

Also survived by a daughter, 2 sons, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 4-8 pm Thursday (Jan. 27) at the BAIRD FUNERAL HOME, 36 Water Street, Dundee; where a funeral service with Military Honor's will be held at 11:00 am Friday (Jan. 28) with Rev. Main St. Penn Yan 14527; or to the charity of the donor's choice. BIDWELL Beverly Jean Elmira: Age 68 of Elmira, NY passed away on Friday January 21, 2011 after an extended illness. Beverly was born December 13, 1942 the daughter of the late Elmer Clair Auge and Erma Hazel Auge Palmer.

She attended Binghamton School of Nursing and retired as a for Broome County Developmental Services. Beverly served as a Docent for The Corning Museum of Glass. Beverly was predeceased by her parents, her step-father Floyd C. Palmer Jr, her son Steven D. Bidwell, and brotherin-law Robert Garrett.

Beverly is survived by her son: Michael Bidwell of Texas; daughter Becky Vandercook of Painted Post, NY; grandchildren Jeremy, Seth, Skyler, Catherine, Aiden, and Sophia; sisters and brother-in-law: Barbara and Larry Briggs of Horseheads, NY, Benita Garrett of New Windsor, NY, and Sandra Auge of Wellsburg, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of caring friends. She was born in Sioux City, IA, a daughter to Raymond and Marcella (Fahey) Banker. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon German, of Big Flats, NY; grandchildren, Sandra (Robert) Halliday of Horseheads, Craig German, also of Horseheads, great granddaughter, Katherine Halliday. Dennis K. White, aged 58. went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on January 19, 2011: at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born May 4th, 1952 in Bath, NY to Elthea S. (Gould) and James H.

White. Dennis graduated from Haverling Central School in 1970, served in the military as a Sergeant in the Air Force from May 1971-June 1975, and worked at D'Angelo's Restaurant for a few years before attending Corning Community College and becoming a Registered Nurse. He worked at Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital for a few years, and met his wife Lisa there. They were married on May 26, 1984 and moved to Willard, NY where they both worked at Willard Psychiatric Center. The critical illness of his beloved mother brought them back to Bath, where they have resided since.

In 1991, they were blessed with a son, James, who is their pride and joy. Dennis also worked at Taylor Health Center in Bath, NY and Founders Pavilion in Corning, NY, before physical problems forced him into retirement. Dennis is survived by his loving wife and son, sister and brother-in-law Bonnie and Bruce Spicer of Bath, brother James J. White of Bath, sister and brotherin-law Reverend Marilyn and Reverend Wendell Ross of Bath, aunt Ruth Pearce of Bath, uncle Bonnie and aunt Margaret of Palo Alto, California, mother-in-law Karen Adams Matteson of Bath, father-in-law Frederick Matteson (Muriel) of Palm Bay, Florida, brother-in-law and sister-inlaw Pastor Peter and Tina Matteson of Queen City, Texas, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tom and Kim Matteson of Harrisonburg, Virginia, and cousins Don Pearce of Big Flats, David Pearce of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Jeff Pearce of Big Flats, and several others that live in Michigan and California. He also has numerous nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews that he dearly loved.

He is predeceased by his beloved mother and father, aunt Eliza Gould, uncle "Pud" and aunt Frieda Gould, uncle Gerald Gould, and uncle Earl and aunt Wilma Gould. Dennis was a fun loving, compassionate, and caring person who made everyone feel at ease there were no strangers, everyone he met were friends. In spite of his physical problems, he was very concerned and caring for others around him, and faced his adversity with humor and great strength. He is now in the presence of Jesus, rejoicing in his new spirit body that is free from pain and suffering. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 at 4 pm at the Bethel Assembly of God church, 310 W.

(Gee) Franks, age 68, of Tioga, PA, died on Sunday, January 23, 2011 in Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. Born on June 21. 1942 in Elkland, PA, Sharon was the daughter of Leon and Norma Ruth (Toles) by her husband, Douglas Prior to her retirement, the housekeeping industry motels. She enjoyed crafts is surived by five sons: Ron (Stephen) Rice of Rice of Tioga, PA, James PA, Ed Allen of Quinton, Rice of Tioga, PA; a sister and Roger Kilburne of grandchildren: Michael and Brianna Hurd and Ashley husband, Douglas, she was Roy Rice in 1989 and two Barb Allen. Bliss who died December 4, 1992. Erma was born July 15, 1915 in Charleston Township, the daughter of the late Adam and Ethel Smith Wagner. She was a homemaker and member of the Whitneyville United Methodist Church. Davenport, Lucille A. "Lucy" at was and the Elmira: Passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2011 the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Lucille born August 3, 1920 was the daughter of late Carl and Alice (Brown) Ackerman of PA. She was the who predeceased her James were married on May 23, 1941 and celebrated 67 years of marriage before his passing. Lucille is survived by her children, Judith (Robert) Callene of Lakes Wales, FL; James W.

(Bonnie) Davenport, Nancy Sabatura and Gary (Mary) Davenport all of Elmira, NY; daughterin-law, Diane Davenport of Horseheads, NY; 9 grandchildren, Regina Noyes, Ralph Arnold, Michele Dixon, Andrea Rousseau, Janelle Oshetski, Sean Davenport, Jozef Sabatura, Nikolas Sabatura, Anya Sabatura, Richard Callene, Scott Woodhouse and Andrew Woodhouse; along with 13 greatgrandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Lucille was predeceased by her husband, James; her son, John Davenport; brother, Edwin Ackerman; and sister, Barbara Luchaco. Lucille graduated Valedictorian of her class at Sayre High School and retired from the Social Security Administration. She along with her husband were members of the Seneca Power and Sail Squadron, where she was a member of the Seneca Mates and the Southern Tier Yacht Club, PEN-NY Mixers RV Club and the Raccoon Cruisers. She also served as a Volunteer at the Arnot Ogden Ladies Auxiliary where she knit for the Newborn nursery.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 050 Pennsylvania Ave. Southport, NY on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services to follow under the direction of Reverend Ross Raymond. Interment will take place in the Tioga Point Cemetery at the convenience of her family, where "Lucy" will be laid to rest with her beloved James.

She is also predeceased by her son Daryl R.

Farr, and brothers, Peter A. and Michael J. Carozza, and Joseph Carozza, who was killed in Italy during WWII. Teresa is survived by her husband of 53 years George R. Farr of Horseheads; along with several and nephews. Born and raised in Elmira Teresa was a graduate of Elmira Catholic High where she was a cheerleader and participated in the school musicals. She worked at Rosenbaum's where she did some modeling for fashion shows they sponsored. Teresa was a long time communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, where she taught C.C.D. classes for a number of years.

She was also a member of the Fraternity of St. Dominic. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Interment will follow at St.

Peter Paul's Cemetery. Reid, James M. Corning: James M. Reid, age 83, of 1192 Thurber Road, Corning, passed away on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at his son's home surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. He was born on July 1, 1927 in Elmira, the son of the late Harold and Kathryn (Ames) Reid.

He attended Hendy Avenue School in Elmira, then moved to Alfred, NY where he attended Alfred Almond Central School. Jim was a Navy seaman first class stationed in Samson, NY. He worked in office machine service starting in 1947 at Mason's in Almond, NY and retired in March of 2010 from Rem-Southern Office Products Inc. in Elmira, NY with 33 years of service there. He married Mary "Irene" Drake on March 6, 1948 in Painted Post.

She predeceased him on January 11, 1993. Jim is survived by his children and their spouses, Lon and Shirley Reid, Dan and Cindy Reid, Andy Reid, and Julie and Jack Bostwick, brother, William (Ceil) Reid of Mahwah, NJ, and brother-in-law, Larry (Flo) Drake of Almond, NY. He also has grandchildren, Lonnie Reid, Nicole LaPierre, Stephen Bostwick, and Stacie Bostwick, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at Carpenter's Funeral Home, LLC, 14 East Pulteney Street, Corning, NY, on Saturday, January 29, 2011 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
